In order to be eligible for use on the golf course, private golf carts must be registered for use and display a valid sticker which proves that the cart is in compliance with facility rules. This sticker can be obtained through the registration process below.
Please be sure that your sticker is valid and clearly displayed at all times.
Registration Process:
- Complete the registration form above
- Allow up to 7 days for response from the golf shop
- If accepted, a sticker will be available in the golf shop. A member of the golf shop staff will apply the sticker or conduct a further inspection of the cart if necessary. Upon delivery of the sticker a $5.00 registration fee will be collected.
- Keep the sticker visible at all times and apply for renewal of registration when the sticker is about to expire.
Private Cart Requirements for Compliance:
- Electric Powered (No gas carts are allowed on the course)
- “Traditional” Body Type (i.e. no themed carts such as a cart modeled to look like a real car)
- Registered with a valid license plate, tags and insurance.
- Maximum Weight without passengers: 1200 lbs
- Maximum Dimensions: 118” Long x 83” High x 56” Wide
- Tires are no more than 22” in outer diameter with a maximum 16” inner diameter
- Tires are between 8” and 12” wide with “turf-friendly tread”
- Cart is in good working condition and free of major damage or defects
- Conforms to all other community rules, regulations and guidelines, which can be found on the community and Golf Club websites.
- Any disputes or concerns not specifically covered by this policy will be settled by the golf shop pending review from the Golf Committee or Board of Directors.
Additional Cart Registration FAQs
- How long is the registration valid?
- The current cycle ends on December 31, 2026. All carts registrations will need to be renewed for a new three-year cycle from January 1, 2027-December 31, 2029.
- What if my windshield needs to be replaced?
- The sticker are designed to come off cleanly and be reused. You may attempt to transfer the sticker to the new windshield in the same position that is was before. If the sticker is damaged, please speak to someone in the golf shop about obtaining a replacement.
- What if I purchase a new cart?
- Please contact Al Larose (alarose@troon.com) or Jimmy Pullano (jpullano@troon.com) to set up a new inspection. If the old sticker can be removed and reused, we will attempt to do so, otherwise a new sticker will be issued.
- What if I sell my cart or purchase someone else’s registered cart?
- Please contact Al Larose (alarose@troon.com) or Jimmy Pullano (jpullano@troon.com) to update the cart owner’s information or to terminate the cart registration.
