Golf Etiquette
Proper golf etiquette makes the game of golf more enjoyable for all players. All players at Copper Canyon Golf Club are encouraged to use proper golf etiquette out of respect for fellow golfers.
Please check in with the Golf Shop at least 15 minutes prior to your tee time. The entire foursome must check in by first and last name with the Starter prior to teeing off.
Pace of play is very important. Golf carts must remain on cart paths unless otherwise noted.
The course should be played in 4 hours and 10 minutes. If a group falls behind this time frame, the staff will assist the group in speeding up the pace of play. The staff is available to assist players in having enjoyable rounds without delaying the pace of play for other players. Please respect the staff as they are trying to take care of all golfers on the course.
Course conditions are a vital part to the success of our Club. Please properly fix ball marks on greens using the appropriate repair tools. Replace fairway divots with appropriate seed that is provided with each golf cart. Remember not to take your frustration with the game of golf out on the golf course, equipment or playing partners.

Club / Golf Course Attire / Dress Standards
To preserve the club standards and for the enjoyment of guests, we ask that all patrons wear attire deemed appropriate by the Club. Common sense golf course attire is expected of all guests playing golf and using the practice facilities. Similarly, common sense casual (not necessarily golf) attire is expected at the Indigo Grille or Bar 28. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be asked to change or leave the facility. Management reserves the right to make the final decision on any discrepancy found in the policy. Please note the specific guidelines for approved attire below:
General Guidelines: Clothing is to be clean, in good condition and free of rips, frays or tears of any kind. Guests have significant latitude in choosing styles and colors of clothing including clothing that represents sports teams, golf brands or other golf facilities. Clothing that does not adhere to our policy regarding “Political or Disruptive Displays”, which can be found further down on this page, will not be permitted.
Indigo Grille: Casual shirts including t-shirts or polo shirts for men/women and sleeveless shirts or dresses for women are allowed. Sleeveless shirts for men, swimsuits without a cover-up, and midriff-bearing or risqué tops for women are not allowed. The policy regarding pants, shorts, skirts and skorts is similar to the golf course, however they do not need to be in a golf-style to be worn in the Grille.
Golf Shirts: Collared shirts are preferred; however, t-shirts or mock collar shirts are permissible when they meet the other criteria already mentioned in this policy and are designed for golf. All shirts for men must have sleeves. Tank-tops are not allowed for men. Midriff-bearing or risqué tops are not allowed for men or women. Women may wear sleeveless tops if they are designed for golf and meet all previous requirements.
Golf Pants and Shorts: Shorts should be no higher than mid-thigh. Golf-style pants are preferred, but some exceptions may be made for jeans if they meet the other criteria listed above. All pants must be tailored to fit and free of rips or tears. Sweat pants are not permitted.
Golf Skirts and Skorts: Skirts and skorts should be no higher than mid-thigh.
Shoes: Footwear must be worn at all times. Metal spikes and shoes with heels are not permitted on the golf course.
Other: Swimwear is not permitted without a cover-up. Other non-approved attire may only be worn with special permission from management. Example: Permission may be given to wear a sports jersey for a themed event.
